Convention swap cards, crop sessions, FREE stamps

Hi all,

Another update from Convention.  This time some of the fabulous cards made by fellow demonstrators from New Zealand and Australia.  Hope there is one or two amongst them to inspire you to get creating!  Apologies to the owners of these cards, I don't have your names recorded, but if it was you, let me know, and I'll update my post to show accordingly. 

Don't forget, you can book your children in now for the school holidays.  Classes are available for scrap booking and card making for all ages.  Also for the month of June when you place an order over $125 you can receive the gorgeous Reason to smile stamp set....FREE!  Checkout more information HERE

2012 Stampin' Up! Convention Pics Post 2

Hi everyone,

Am going to launch straight into the photos as we have had some pretty gusty winds today and the internet seems to be cutting in and out a bit, but wanted to share some more photos of what goes on at the Convention Awards Dinner on the last night.  For me its all about seeing friends and glamming up for the night!  Once again,  many photos to choose from so these are in no particular order, just good memories or a highlight for me.  Hope you like them!

This one has to get a mention!  Bris Vegas is the destination for next year's Convention.  Whoo hoo, a chance to visit family and friends (wonder if Laurie will come??  Hope so................ :-)  )

2012 Stampin' Up! Convention Pics - Post Number 1

As promised, photos from last week's fabulous, amazing, inspiring Convention in not so chilly Canberra.  Despite forecasts the weather was not as bad as I had anticipated and as such the gloves did not make an appearance.  Was a busy three days, and with so much to take in its not until I look through the pics to I realise how much I have taken away from Convention both crafty wise and personally.  But that's what I love about this company, its more than the paper and ink, way more.  Its the friendships, the laughs, the way it makes me keep challenging myself to improve.

As you may have seen in the title, this is post number 1.....due to the enormous amounts of photos being taken thanks to modern technology!  And here they are in no particular order, just ones that stand out to me as memorable for one reason or another.  Hope you like them, more to follow, along with my July school holiday classes for the kids.

Photo of the makings of a simple card... 1.5 hours later

You know how it is, you need to make a card, you have the idea (or in my case a card that was given to me during a swap).  Easy right? You grab the supplies needed and sit down to make said simple card. 

But then you start thinking "wait I might add some shimmer and bling, ohh I could just change the embellishment a little, wait I could add a punch", see where I'm going with this!  So before I  knew it over a hour and a half had flown by before I had finished the card which was meant to be quick and simple.  Don't get me wrong, I actually really enjoyed my crafting time tonight, was just me with my paper, inks, stamps, music on in the background...and just a few other supplies as you can see here -

 

The card on the table is my take of a friend's card which is on the back of the table.  Thanks Marsha for the inspiration.  Hope my Grandma likes it as well.
