Stampin' Up! Flood Appeal

Just as they have done on so many previous occasions in times of need, Stampin’ Up! has jumped aboard to help out victims of Queensland’s devastating floods with an appeal of their own.  Straight from the demonstrator website this morning:

13 January 2011

As flood waters continue to inundate Australia in what has been described as the worst flooding in 37 years, we express our deepest sympathies to those who have lost loved ones and homes and to those whose lives have been changed forever. We, like so many of you, feel a compelling need to lend support to all those who have been affected.
Stampin’ Up! demonstrators have a long history of making a difference in the lives of others – especially when disaster strikes and the need is greatest. Nearly two years ago, we watched another tragedy unfold in Australia. Our hearts were touched as demonstrators, customers and friends joined together in support of the Bushfire Appeal. We’ve done it before and we can certainly do it again!
Please join with us by supporting the Australia Flood Appeal – a cause in which Stampin’ Up! will donate $2 AUD of the retail value of sales from any stamp set (with a retail value of $30 or more) sold in Australia and New Zealand from 15 January through 15 February to the State Emergency Services in Queensland.
So get out your wish lists  and then contact me to place your order.   As an added incentive, until 24 January, for all orders over $70, I will pay for the shipping and handling charges.
Have I mentioned lately how much I love being associated with this company…?  Joc x

Just sharing my lovely day with you

Hi girls,
What a great Monday I am having today, so good in fact that I needed to share it with you.  First up this morning was our Glitter and Sparkle class.  We had a brilliant time, needless to say we were all a little bit sparkly ourselves by the end!  Two cards were made, the first is below.  This gave the girls the skills to implement their own ideas onto the second card.  Once again, seeing the kids grow in confidence and ability is what gives me (and them!) so much satisfaction.

Then this afternoon, here I am, in my craft room, tennis on in the background, a lovely breeze coming through....all while I create swap cards for our team training tonight.  And the housework you ask...well that just gets fitted in between all the craft!  Shall share the swap card soon, still playing with my little birds in their cages!   Joc x

Lots of Bots - for the boys....

I have being playing with set from the new catalogue "Lots of Bots".  Originally I had passed this one by, but decided to give it a go for a few reasons.  One, I have an upcoming boys workshop and wanted this set to feature, and more importantly, I needed to build up my stash of birthday cards.
So, what do you think?  I really like the colour combo of Pacific Point, Pear Pizazz, Kraft and Early Espresso.  am sure the boys in the class will love to get their hands on the Big Shot and Crop-a-Dile.......  what bloke (big or small!) doesn't love using a few tools! Joc x
