Hi everyone, I really want to say here I am for another monthly newsletter, but perhaps I should call it my intermittent newsletter! So 2012 - wonder what it will bring. I know I am looking forward to my last year of studies, welcoming a new puppy into our home, and exploring WA on some family holidays. As for the rest, who knows, but hope there are lots of laughs and good times along the way...

Summer Mini Catalogue
By now you should all have your copy of the Summer Mini Catalogue and be aware of my favourite products.  Spice Cake product suite in the mini (P10-11) - loved it from the first time I saw it, in particular the DSP, and now as well the fabric.   I will be getting more before it retires at the end of March as it is a beautiful design that can be used on projects for years to come.  You can view the mini cattie online by clicking here .

January Classes

Only a few classes this month, just too busy with this that and the other.  As I'm guessing a few of you may be as well with holidays, visitors and other things :-) 

Saturday, January 28th 2-4.30pm  Post It Note Holders  $12

Make 2 post it note holders which are great as gifts. Take home instruction sheet included, please supply your own post it notes.

Monday, January 30th 11-2pm  Top Note Cards  $12

Make 3 cards using the Big Shot Top Note Die and learn a great technique to utilise your scraps of pattern paper and cardstock - so easy to do.

Friday, February 3rd  7pm-10pm  $7

Me time crop session.  Use of stamp sets and inks is included for a night to work on your own projects.  Bring your own supplies and projects.  Consumables are for sale on the night on an individual basis.

All classes are limited to 5 people and include drinks and yummy nibbles.

Pics to share from team Christmas catch up

Just a quick one tonight as it is a wee bit late, and I really should probably have taken myself to bed a little while ago, but have been making the most of hanging out with my Cairns friends or should I say family.  That's really how it has been feeling here, just a big happy group of friends and family. 

And I include in that the Stampin' Up! girls who I caught up with on Saturday at my wonderful up-up-line Shannean's place.  She is so supportive, very generous and also talented - so feel very lucky to be part of the Paper Belle's team of Stampin' Up demos.

Below are some pics from our group Secret Santa.  Jodie and I needed to leave not long after the gift swapping so I quickly grabbed some pics of a few of the cards that were made.  Apologies for not crediting the fabulous work where it is due, but if one of them is yours, please let me know so I can update this post.

Spice Cake DSP Secret Santa gift bundle

Thought you might like to see the pack I made for the ESAD Secret Santa group this year.  ESAD????  Who/what are they you might be thinking? answer - they are the most fabulous group of demonstrators across Australia and New Zealand who share ideas, thoughts, inspiration.  The demos are talented. funny, caring and so generous, and the group really is like an extended family.

To participate in this years SS was really fun - giving $35 worth of product to your recipient, creating a handmade gift and card.  Your SS sent an email to the coordinator with their SU wish list, and then I went shopping from that list - fun!  I was going to go traditional Christmas as the theme, but my delivery of the most lovely DSP paper Spice Cake had arrived....and I was sold.   I love creating with these papers, and have nearly worked my way through the whole pack in a few short weeks with cards, scrap booking and 3D projects. 

Here's my bundle of goodies all ready to go....notepad, easel card, 2 gift boxes and 2 wrapped presents. 

And here it all is opened!  My SS received, a pearl bauble, key trinkets, bakers twine and velvet ribbon. 

Can't take create for these pics though as they were taken by my SS.  We all posted on the ESAD Secret Santa site to share our parcels and creations.  Shall post what I received shortly. Joc x

hope you like what I made tonight

Have had a lovely play tonight with some retired papers and stamps to make what seems like my tenth Secret Santa gift.  In truth it is only my fourth (LOL), but with all the busy days getting ready for Christmas and holidays, it just feels like there is so much to get ready and done in such a short amount of time.

Although in saying that, when I sit down to do a spot of crafting, I enjoy every minute of it and it really is my happy place to be.  So here's part of my gift...hope my SS recipient likes it!

RSPCA Wa Fundraiser! Thanks everyone who helped us raise....

a grand total of $779.72!

Woo hoo - thanks to everyone who came on Friday night. By participating in raffles, auctions, bought a mini milk carton........   What a great night, and a lovely chance to have some relaxing crafting time with friends amongst all the craziness of Christmas

Speaking of raffles, and I promise you, this was purely by chance my two attendees won 3rd and 1st prize in the major raffle draws.

I am always blown away by the generosity of Stampin' Up! and their support of charities world wide.  We were provided with a box worth over $800 to use in our fundraising efforts.  Stamps, ink, embellishments, cards stock, DSP for all sorts of paper crafting projects were donated.

OK, this was just a quick post, I'm off to prepare more project kits for the Christmas craft sessions at school.  Hope the kids like them!  Joc x
