Back in my happy place...and a card to share

Oh what a wonderful serene last couple of hours I have had.  With school holidays over and a bit of time to myself, I was really looking forward to getting creative today.  Of course as is true to form Jocie style, there was a little bit of fluffing to do first.  So the first hour was taken up with assembling stamp sets and also reorganising my designer papers.  That out of the way it was straight into creating a card for my new little niece.  I decided to CASE a card made by the very talented Sarah Klass.  I saw this card over a year ago, and always wanted do something along her design lines.  Here is her original

And here is my mornings efforts..........

It probably took me waaaaaayyy longer that it should have to make,  but I had such a great time who cares! There was paper, stamp sets, markers all over the table - and it was fantastic.   Sounds silly, but Stampin'  is what makes me happy on the inside.  Speaking of this, I have set my self a little goal to add a little something to the inside of my cards, this saying is from the "Word Play" set.  I decided to add colour with my new Embosslits die "Sweet Buttons" from the Autumn-Winter mini catalogue.  Drop me a comment below, would love to know what you think ;-)  Card details below if you are interested -
Papers - Whisper White, Wild Wasabi, Pretty in Pink, Going Grey.  DSP - It's a Girl (retired)
Stamp Sets - Eastern Blooms, Warm Words, Word Play
Stampin' Write Markers - Going Grey, Basic Black, Rose Red
Accessories - Spritzer, Embosslits Sweet Buttons, Big Shot
Happy days everyone, make the most of each and every one of them, Joc x

Finally found it.......so ready to share my new space with you

As you know both my camera battery charger and my phone USB were AWOL in all the busy-ness of unpacking this week.  Although the camera charger is still yet to be unearthed, I have been able to download some pics from my phone to share with you of the beginnings of my new Stampin' space.  It is by no means complete, but at least the carpet can be seen, the stamp sets are out, papers and big shot with in easy reach.  Hmm wonder what on earth I will do with my self while the little people are back at school this week?  Can't wait to play with my new sets and tools that arrived just before we left Cairns.  Thanks for taking a peek  Joc x
Ok here are the promised shots.  First up a few from the early stages of unpacking -
Wow look at all that space still on the shelves, was able to fill it quickly though with all sorts of "needs"
Boxes, boxes -
everywhere!

After shot............Off to the front of "my" room is the kids
nook complete with TV, games, stereo,
books and more.  Behind the tressle table I have used some of the moving boxes to
hold my cards stock and Big Shot (this is temporary..... ;-)

By no means 100% complete, but ready for me to start creating again.  Once the table is up
the room will comfortably be able to have 4-5 people in for a class - perfect!

Wanting to share.....but missing all sorts of things!

Have taken some pics of us over here in Perth to share with you on both my camera and on my phone, and do you think I can find either my camera battery charger or my USB for my phone!  I fear I have placed them both in a very "safe"spot" while I was in the beginning stages of the unpacking. Now have no idea where that safe spot is.  Just hoping they are not with the lovely Jodie's iPod (love you x).
Lost the mojo in a big way yesterday morning to unpack, but it resurfaced in the afternoon, and I started on the task of setting up the new stampin' room.  A whole area just for me, bigger than in Cairns, and I can't wait to embark on classes from home.  So am trying to design a space that is functional, user friendly and inviting.  If you have any ideas on what you think makes a crafting space "work" leave me a comment, all thoughts most welcome.

So, in lieu of not having any of my own pics of my own to show you, I am sharing a card made by friend from high school days.  now friends on Facebook, imagine my suprise when the lovely Tanya Canazzaro posted on FB her latest craft creations - using Stampin' Up!  It's on my CAS to do list...as soon as I find my Inks!!  Talk soon, Joc x
