I headed on out to Byford in the Perth Hills armed with my Big Shot, stamps, papers and inks to create some cute little note pads for Christmas gifts. Hope you like what I came up with! I have added some instructions below the pics so you can create your own, the instructions are for the larger one on the right. I'm still on the hunt for some miniature pens to place under the notepad. Love the colour combo of white, razzleberry, olive and orchid. Picked up the pads at a discount shop $2.50 for a pack of four.
Instructions for making your own note pads
- Cut a piece of thin card (I used the card that comes with the DSP paper) 9cm x 21.5cm
- Cut a Piece of DSP paper 12cm x 24 cm and cover the card
- Cut a sheet of card stock 8cm x 7.5cm and a sheet of DSP 7.5 x 6.75cm
- Lay the DSP on top of the card stock, adhere and then embellish to your taste. Eg ribbon, flowers, brads, edge punches, Big Shot dies. Score centre of the cardstock.
- Adhere notepad to the very top of card that is covered in DSP
- Add the top cover you made and adhere to notepad and back of DSP covered card
- Cut a piece of coloured card stock that matches DSP 8.5 x 20.5 cm, stick to back of pad
- Add magnetic strip to top and bottom and your project is complete.
My tip would be to choose your DSP first and then select card stock and embellishments to match. That's whats so great about Stampin' Up! - everything matches making it so easy.
Happy creating everyone, Joc x
